TV Tropes - Bowdlerise
Bowdlerization means altering existing programs, plays, etc. so they are less rude and/or offensive. Used in a very negative sense, by those who think the alterations are often done with a ridiculously high fear of lawsuits and/or need for political correctness.

Some great examples on there, some of them are serious and some you may think are a bit strange! But publishers will do what is necessary to cater for regional audiences.
Remember the task I set you at the end: Find out the name of the Free to Play Xbox 360 game launched by Microsoft that is going to be funded entirely by additional DLC microtransactions? Find out what it is and a bit of information about it. This shows that Microsoft is very interested in getting in on the Free to Play (or F2P) market - you might find it strange but companies can potentially earn a LOT more by releasing a free game than a £40 title. It's the future!
